Workshop levels
Our workshops are leveled to allow for the best possible experience for all dancers. Please choose the most appropriate level for yourself to get most out of our classes.
About couple registration: When you register with a partner, you can pick different workshop levels.
There are no workshops offered to absolute beginners.
Silver Summit – I have been dancing for less than two years. I know the basic steps and some variations of them. I want to learn techniques to feel more secure while dancing, improve my foundation, and learn fun new moves.
White Waterfall – I have been dancing for quite a while now. I might have already started to compete, or I am an avid social dancer with an equivalent knowledge of someone with Novice points. I may have attended classes on international events already. I am comfortable leading or following all basics, including the transitional basics (rolls, wraps, open whips, etc.). I want to work on connection, improve my style, and be more musical.
Gold Glacier – To join this level, you must qualify for the WSDC intermediate division. You can also audition for this level if you don’t have the required points.
Blue Breeze – You must have at least one WSDC Advance point for this level. You can also audition for it if you don’t have the required points.
Black Bay – This level is reserved for the most skilled dancers coming to Swingtzerland 2025. You need at least 10 WSDC All-Star points to qualify without an audition. If you feel you belong but don’t have the required points, you can audition for this level on Friday.
